Benefits of Using a Basket Stretcher:
- Enhanced Safety: Basket stretcher provides greater protection for the patient, as it is designed to keep the patient secure and stable during transport. The stretcher is made of sturdy materials, such as rigid plastic or steel, which can withstand rough terrain and harsh weather conditions.
- Easier Transport: Basket stretcher is easier to maneuver over uneven terrain and through tight spaces, making it ideal for rescue operations in remote areas. The stretcher can be carried by hand or lifted by a helicopter, allowing for quick and efficient transport of the patient to a medical facility.
- Reduced Risk of Further Injury: Basket stretchers have built-in harnesses and straps to secure the patient, reducing the risk of further injury during transport. The stretcher also provides adequate support for the spine and neck, minimizing the risk of aggravating spinal injuries.
- Versatility: Basket stretchers can be used for a variety of rescue operations, including in water rescue, cave rescue, and mountain rescue. The stretcher can also be used in situations where a regular ambulance cannot access, such as in disaster zones or in areas with limited road access.
- Easy to Clean: Basket stretchers are designed for easy cleaning and disinfection, which is essential for preventing the spread of infection or disease. The stretcher can be washed down with soap and water or disinfected with a solution of bleach and water.
