What is Triangular Bandage?
A triangular bandage is a large, triangular-shaped piece of cloth or gauze used for various medical purposes. Some common uses of a triangular bandage include:
- To support or immobilize an injured limb or joint, such as an arm or shoulder, by wrapping the bandage around the affected area and tying it in place.
- To create a sling to support an injured arm, wrist or hand by folding the bandage into a sling and securing it around the neck and the affected area.
- To control bleeding or cover a wound by folding the bandage and placing it over the wound, then securing it in place with adhesive tape or other means.
- To secure a dressing in place, such as on a head wound, by tying the bandage around the head.
